What you put in is what you get out.

Mind and Body; more specifically, brain and belly; it’s all connected and both areas of the ecosystem need a sufficient amount of nutrients and knowledge respectively for essential growth and development of life. Chances are if both of those areas are well maintenance then the surrounding areas will be in good shape as well.

Lunch + Learn explores two sensitive yet critical subjects within the black and brown communities. This project was created to promote, recognize and normalize the concepts of healthy eating habits and the wonders of discovery through literacy in areas that such aren’t promoted, afforded or noticed.

To solve a problem, you must first recognize what is the actual problem that exists.  With that being said; for far too long impoverished and underdeveloped communities have been subjected to feed their minds and body with garbage. Which sometimes is not realized until it’s too late or if ever at all.

The primary goal of this project is to discuss, evaluate, possibly adjust the daily regimes of the consumption’s food and learning, healthy and unhealthy. The secondary goal of this project is to explore and recognize the better alternatives that may not be accessible or obtainable given the circumstances.

For this series, seven black and brown males and non-binary individuals posing with their most notable piece of literature to date. Sharing interpretations, observations and their own experiences involving the notions of foods for thought and the thoughts of food.
